Swiss International Airlines AG – History of bad Customer Experience!

Swiss International Airlines AG was founded after Swissair, the former Swiss flag carrier, was grounded and bankruptcy was declared.

Swiss you only know passengers but not customers!

I used to fly Zurich – Moscow very frequently using Swiss till I got fed up with their bad service quality I changed to Aeroflot and I’m very happy with price & performance.

Recently I was to try again Swiss. In fact I had to book 4 return flights with Swiss.

@FlySWISS First outbound was over sold but after arguing I was assigned a seat.

When it came to the second arrangement, again the outbound was over sold. @FlySWISS 7 passengers in economy were to stay and wait for next flight. In fact, they were 2 seats short in Business Class so they were to put them to Economy hence instead of 5 from Economy a total of 7 passengers had to get off of the plane. I was offered 400 Eur compensation and a 1 stop flight to my destination later same day. I agreed due to lack of alternatives. Subsequently I re-arranged my schedules with clients and was waiting for Swiss to pass me over new flight arrangements. Shortly before closing the gate I was announced that Swiss does withdraw what we agreed upon since eventually a seat could be assigned. This was very unpleasant and inconvenient since all was agreed with Swiss and I had re-arranged all my agenda.

Some weeks later I was to take my outbound flight at 7:00 am. @FlySWISS Half an hour before boarding we were informed about a delay due to defect plane. This was the first flight for the plane that day but was parked at around 10.00 pm at the latest the night before!!!

All in all I’ve made again very bad experience not only with their operations but also with their arrogant customer service that don’t understand customer service and loyalty.

@FlySWISS As a result I did reschedule my 3rd arrangement with Swiss and booked with a different airline although I’ve already paid the fare (US destination!!!) 🙁 🙁 🙁

My experience: The only premium one gets flying Swiss is a higher price at low quality.

What a surprise it happened again. @FlySWISS One morning first flight to Dresden we did board the plane then got announced to change due to technical problems. Eventually another long delay 🙁

Fortunately I had nice experience thereafter flying Edelweiss twice to Tenerife which was without negative surprises and of good service, eventually a positive ending in 2015!

A negative start in 2016 – Swiss introduced new ticket categories / pricing for flights within Europe. After checking some destination it appears Swiss silently increased prices. So bye bye @FlySWISS hello @Iberia, going with you to Tenerife!

@FlySWISS today on January 31st 2016 I spent 1 hour preparing my next journey. I prepared all booking in swiss.com and when I pushed to book service was interrupted and message was to try again. I’ve been trying for 45′ but got fed up and called customer support. Was announced to wait average 5′ in fact it was 20′ to speak to rather unqualified support explaining to me I was announced on the webpage their service is down for release change. In fact their website never indicated today downtime just a 55000 error message and to try again (snapshot as evidence taken. It’s bad that Swiss does lie at customers! After the booking systems was working again I could only purchase my selected flights at higher prices! This is cheating customers hence I booked with another carrier.
